This is a beautiful book! The story and the characters are captivating, the colorful illustrations are really good, and it gives you interesting information about the Mayans and the Mexican Caribbean area, without you even noticing! Me and my partner loved it, and our son, who is not a child anymore, couldn't put it down. It makes a perfect gift for children, and parents will enjoy it too.

The author was nice enough to send me a copy for an honest review. I really liked this book. The story was good and the artwork was really good as well. This book is interesting enough so that parents will enjoy it just as much as their kids do. Very well written and just a great little children's book all around. I give it 5 stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up

A great adventure story to read with young kids! The colorfully illustrated pages helps grab their attention, and the background of real places I've visited, and Mayan mythology, makes it interesting for the adult reading it too (me!).

The fact that I can show the kids real photos of places in the story (like Tulum and the Chichen Itza pyramid) just makes it seem all the more real and magical to them.

Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

By Wally Szyiko Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase It's not often you come across a book for Kids that combines magic, adventure, culture and imagination. Even the animals and land are depicted to add authenticity to the local. The story ends with the mystery unsolved allowing the reader to look forward to the next in this terrific series.
The author's choice of illustrator enhances the story and it's hard not to fall in love with the characters. I hope this book becomes one of your child,'s favourites!

I received an ARC of this delightful story, and loved it. To me it's the perfect blend of a story that has culture, history, different kinds of family elements, and having faith while still being fun for kids. Our family has taken a couple of cruises to Mexico where we visited Tulum. The beautiful illustrations were very true to what the ruins look like, and I found myself thinking how neat would it be for kids to read prior to taking a trip to Tulum, or even after.

Great little children's single concept book. Would make a great novel study for teachers to use in the classroom.(wish I was still teaching!) Has many possibilities for instruction of reading for a wide age group. Also would make a great addition to museum gift shops or visitor centers or hotel desk areas to promote Mexican culture and life in Mexico. I know my grandchildren will love it! Hope there will be a sequel!

We absolutely love this book !!! It is extremely exciting for a kids book... I can't wait to find out what happens to be honest. the story's plot is in Mexico and it even goes to the different temples, so it educational, and there are seeds of other life lessons for the kids and or interesting information, like that the dolphin is one of the smarts mammals on the planet. It's a fun kids book, and worked for this dad !

It isn't often that we are able to find a book that keeps our children's complete attention throughout, that paints a beautiful story with its colorful imagery and at the same time, secretly educates the readers with history. But we found these things in this book. Ti and the Magical Key is a fun read, with characters who my son is still talking about long after the book was finished.

From the moment you start this read, to the moment you finish; you enter a world that takes your imagination and builds a wonderful, adventuress, ethical, magical world that has purpose, morals and values. Your enjoying being educated not only about history but lifestyle and travel, as well. I know my grand kids are going to enjoy this one, just as much as I did. Great job and thank you for giving something to our future, our children that is so pure and healthy. Best of luck...

This is such a smart story for kids. The mix between facts and fiction with a touch of education is presented extremely entertaining and the story flows well. The characters are beautifully illustrated and the images make you dive into the magical world of the Mayans. My daughter couldn't put the book away until she finished it and said 'I want to know what happens next'. And honestly I want to know it too.
