The Illustrations will draw you in, the storyline will keep you!
September 9, 2015 I have been trying to find a way to get my 10 year old grandson to read more books online than play games. While surfing through the many books online I found Ti and the Magical Key:How it all began. I could not have asked for a better response from my grandson and his little brother, who is two, the illustrations alone had them mesmerized from the beginning of the journey that Ti took with his turtle friend till the end of the first book. They are now looking forward to the next installment which I must now buy for them. Thank you for such a wonderfully illustrated book filled with adventure and lessons based on cooperation and love of ancestry.

on September 4, 2015 Format: Paperback We just received this lovely book and my daughter has liked it so much that she has slept with it next to her! Thank you to the author, it is an inspiring book for kids. M. By Susan Keefe This review is from: Ti and the Magical Key: How it all began (Volume 1) (Paperback)
This story began a long, long time ago, when the high gods of the Mayans discovered that Kukulkan, the God of Wind was about to return. For the safety of their people, they decided they have to hide the magic key from him, and it was Itzamna’s job to work out how, and ensure its safety. Then the story travels forward in time and we meet Ti, a young boy whose family have to go on a special journey. Taking only his precious golden shell which he loves to play, they leave their home to travel a great distance. Eventually they arrive at a beautiful beach, there, Ti befriends Nuuk Ha a 95 year old turtle, and the pair discover they were destined to meet. From there, as their journey continues, a strong bond of friendship and courage is formed. This book is visually stunning with beautiful illustrations which captured my Grandson’s imagination right from the start. However, that is not all, this story is also educational, teaching about the Mayan culture, the Riviera Maya, Mexico and turtles. I look forward to reading their continuing adventures with my Grandsons. By maheswari moksha

A great adventure story to read with young kids! The colorfully illustrated pages helps grab their attention, and the background of real places I've visited, and Mayan mythology, makes it interesting for the adult reading it too (me!). The fact that I can show the kids real photos of places in the story (like Tulum and the Chichen Itza pyramid) just makes it seem all the more real and magical to them. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series! By Wally Szyiko Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase It's not often you come across a book for Kids that combines magic, adventure, culture and imagination. Even the animals and land are depicted to add authenticity to the local. The story ends with the mystery unsolved allowing the reader to look forward to the next in this terrific series.
The author's choice of illustrator enhances the story and it's hard not to fall in love with the characters. I hope this book becomes one of your child,'s favourites! By Melanie A Millar

July 26, 2015 I received an ARC of this delightful story, and loved it. To me it's the perfect blend of a story that has culture, history, different kinds of family elements, and having faith while still being fun for kids. Our family has taken a couple of cruises to Mexico where we visited Tulum. The beautiful illustrations were very true to what the ruins look like, and I found myself thinking how neat would it be for kids to read prior to taking a trip to Tulum, or even after. mark a piff reviewed Ti and the Magical Key: How it all began (Volume 1) Fantastic August 2, 2015 Such a great story! Wonderful illustration, a great book not only for the younger readers

Great little children's single concept book. Would make a great novel study for teachers to use in the classroom.(wish I was still teaching!) Has many possibilities for instruction of reading for a wide age group. Also would make a great addition to museum gift shops or visitor centers or hotel desk areas to promote Mexican culture and life in Mexico. I know my grandchildren will love it! Hope there will be a sequel! sandy motter reviewed Ti and the Magical Key: How it all began (Volume 1)
